Tanker Management

As with FPSO vessels, we have the range of skills necessary to be the Responsible Operator of any trading tanker. That is we will provide and manage the crew, supplies, maintenance, insurance and general administration of the vessel - all within international regulations and to the highest safety levels. Our expertise spans VLCC’s, other crude carriers, product tankers, chemical tankers, gas carriers and specialist tankers (e.g. liquid sulfur, ITB, dedicated methanol among others).

Other ship management companies typically contract as an agent for their ship-owning principal. If circumstances arise that lead to cost overruns or unforeseen downtime, such managers simply send the bills to the Owner. AMS is willing to contract as the Responsible Operator of the vessel. We will warrant our performance in such areas as actual vs. budgeted operating costs, off-hire time, crew competency and charter party performance. AMS assures our clients that our performance will be similar to that of an in-house operations department.
